How I Can Help?

Helping You Make Sense of What’s Happening and Figure Out What Comes Next

When your child is struggling, it can be hard to know where to begin. You may be noticing anxiety, big emotions, friendship challenges, executive functioning difficulties, or changes at school and wondering what’s going on and how you can help.
My work focuses on parent consultation and support, school collaboration, and, when appropriate, therapy for children and adolescents.
I work with parents to better understand what they’re seeing, think through practical strategies for home, and navigate concerns with their child’s school. When direct support for your child would be helpful, therapy can be part of that plan, too.
You know your child best. My role is to help you understand what might be happening, figure out what might help, and feel more confident moving forward.
Sometimes you don't need therapy for your child. You need someone to help you think it through.

You may be noticing changes in your child's behavior, anxiety, emotions, friendships, executive functioning, or school experience and aren't sure what to make of it or what to do next.

Through parent consultation, we'll talk through what you're seeing, consider what might be contributing to it, and develop practical strategies that fit your child and your family.

Consultation can be a one time conversation or ongoing support, depending on what you need. You don't have to wait until something feels like a crisis to reach out.

My goal is to help you feel more confident understanding your child, responding to what's happening, and knowing when additional support might be helpful.

Parent Consultation & Support

School Collaboration & Advocacy

You shouldn't have to navigate school concerns alone.

With more than 20 years of experience working in schools as a teacher, counselor, reading teacher, and learning support specialist, I understand the many ways school can affect a child's learning, confidence, relationships, and emotional well being.

I can partner with you to:

  • Prepare for school meetings

  • Make sense of what you're hearing from teachers

  • Think through academic, behavioral, social, or emotional concerns

  • Understand accommodations and support plans

  • Strengthen communication with your child's school

  • Think through how to advocate for your child in a productive, collaborative way

My role is to help you feel prepared, informed, and confident when you're working with your child's school.

When appropriate and with your involvement, I can also collaborate directly with members of your child's school team.

Supporting Children & Adolescents

When Direct Support Is the Right Fit

Sometimes a child or adolescent needs a space of their own to work through what’s going on.

I provide therapy for children and adolescents experiencing concerns such as anxiety, emotional regulation, confidence, friendships, executive functioning, and school related challenges.

Therapy is tailored to each child, taking into account their developmental stage, strengths, personality, and goals. Parents remain an important part of the process, with regular monthly parent meetings, ongoing communication, and opportunities to talk about what I’m noticing and how you can support your child at home.

My goal isn’t simply to help a child feel better in the therapy room. It’s to help them build skills and confidence they can use in their everyday lives.
